{"id":165,"date":"2016-10-24T14:57:39","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T19:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davidschwab.com\/blog\/?p=165"},"modified":"2016-10-24T14:57:39","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T19:57:39","slug":"magnetic-dental-marketing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidschwab.com\/blog\/2016\/10\/24\/magnetic-dental-marketing\/","title":{"rendered":"Magnetic Dental Marketing to Attract New Patients"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Magnetic dental marketing is all about attracting new patients.\u00a0 You have walking billboards that frequently attract interest\u2014your team.\u00a0 Individuals who work in dental offices can turn inquiries into dental patients very easily by following some simple steps.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>When team members leave the office wearing clothing with the practice name and logo, they frequently attract attention.\u00a0 \u201cWhere do you work?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cOh, is that a dental office?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019ve heard of that dentist.\u201d\u00a0 These are questions people ask when they see a doctor\u2019s name emblazoned on a shirt.<\/li>\n<li>If the person wants to end the conversation at that point, then that is their choice; but if the discussion goes further, then talk up the practice by giving your 15-second practice summary. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidschwab.com\/blog\/2016\/03\/01\/podcast-the-power-of-the-15-second-message\/\">Click here for my podcast on that topic<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Offer the person who asked the question a business card and answer the questions that are posed.<\/li>\n<li>Ask them open questions to determine if they need a dentist. Many people will ask for advice about a dental problem and are eager to hear what you have to say.\u00a0 If they need more information or you think could benefit from seeing the doctor, proceed to the next step.<\/li>\n<li>Ask for their business card. If they have one, that\u2019s great; if not, give them another one of your cards and use this script:\u00a0 \u201cPlease write your name and contact information on the back of this card.\u00a0 If you like, I will have our office manager contact you to answer questions and help you make an appointment.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Tell the prospective patient that, if they prefer, they should call the office to make an appointment. Here\u2019s the script:\u00a0 \u201cCall the office and mention my name.\u00a0 Say that I said to get give you priority and get you in as soon as possible.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Now the new patient has clout.\u00a0 The patient can call the office and use your name to get special consideration.\u00a0\u00a0 You are using magnetic dental marketing to encourage someone to call the office.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that everyone who answers the phone in the office knows that a team member has made a contact.
