{"id":272,"date":"2017-11-13T07:00:45","date_gmt":"2017-11-13T12:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davidschwab.com\/blog\/?p=272"},"modified":"2017-11-12T19:04:35","modified_gmt":"2017-11-13T00:04:35","slug":"turning-the-tables-on-corporate-dentistry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidschwab.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/13\/turning-the-tables-on-corporate-dentistry\/","title":{"rendered":"Turning the Tables on Corporate Dentistry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Imagine turning the tables on corporate dentistry.\u00a0 The big guys have mega-advertising budgets, but they cannot match what you have to offer.\u00a0 The secret is making the distinction.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t get me wrong.\u00a0 Corporate dentistry is not inherently bad.\u00a0 There are some fine doctors who provide quality care and who just so happen to work for large corporations.\u00a0 You, however, probably work in a more traditional fee-for-service model.\u00a0 I want your voice to be heard over all the noise generated by corporate dentistry advertising.<\/p>\n<p>So that you can clearly communicate the advantages of your practice, here are the key five points you need to make:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>When someone comes to your office, they are going to see the same dentist (you!) time after time<\/strong>.\u00a0 You offer the \u201cwarm and fuzzy approach.\u201d\u00a0 Corporate dentistry is often a revolving door, which means the patient may see a different dentist today than the one they saw last time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You are not going anywhere<\/strong>. This means you can offer continuity of care.\u00a0 If a corporate concern closes an office, merges with another company, of just flat goes out of business (and some do), then the patient is left without a dentist.\u00a0 As a fee-for-service dentist, you are a constant, and that is reassuring.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You and your team are dedicated to the best of both worlds, truly personalized service with state-of-the art technology<\/strong>. You actually get to know your patients and you also stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In your practice, no one is pressured or rushed<\/strong>. You always take the time to listen to your patients.\u00a0 People like your warmth and compassion.\u00a0 No corporate executive is looking over your shoulder and pushing you to see more patients in less time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You have a thorough but conservative approach to treatment planning and you use only the best materials<\/strong>.
